Semi-Annual Propane Purchases
Each year during the months of January and September we ask local propane suppliers to bid on bulk pricing of propane for homeowners in Mountain Creek Hollow. In the past, we have realized substantial savings over the retail price for propane and expect that this will continue be true in the future.
To be included a homeowner must be current in their dues and have a valid email on file with the POA. A deposit of $500.00 is required before the gas is ordered. Any difference (+ or -) in the deposited amount will be adjusted after the delivery has been completed. As this is not a POA sponsored event timely reimbursement of monies due is appreciated.
Protecting Your Pets
Some of our neighbors have lost dogs due to rat poisoning.
First of all, I would like to encourage any of our neighbors to use humane traps, rather than poisons. According to vets, poisons can be ingested by any type of wildlife, or even our domestic animals. It usually takes days or even weeks for wild animals to perish, at which time it could be ingested by any other animal. Dogs can get hold of a rodent or other animal that came in contact with the poison. There is also a danger to humans. Please do not use poisons! These symptoms include bloating, pale gums, excessive drooling, bleeding, and sudden weakness. If in doubt, please take your pets to the vet, and tell them of your concern..
Additionally I need to remind all homeowners that our covenants require all dogs to be kept on a leash when outdoors. Animals that run free are subject to these problems as well as some pets almost getting hit by vehicles. Please protect your pets, watch them carefully and follow our covenants.
